As we journey through Holy Week and into the joy of Pascha, there are many ways to participate in the life of our parish. Your gift helps adorn our church with Holy Week flowers, light the way with Paschal and red candles, and support our Paschal Appeal. Every offering, large or small, is a meaningful act of worship during this most sacred season.
LIGHT A CANDLE / PRAYER REQUESTS
To encourage continued engagement of parishioners, our solution is for you to purchase candles online to be lit by Father Jordan during the next liturgy, along with the names you want to be remembered.
We invite you to purchase a candle anytime. The amount collected is simply to cover the cost of the candles.
Upon entering an Orthodox church it is customary to light candles and offer prayers for one’s personal needs or that of a family member or friend. Candles are lit before icons as a sign of one’s faith and hope in God’s help that is always sent to all who turn to Him and His Saints with faith and prayers. When we light a candle, it helps us remember that Jesus is the light of the world.
